Botanically known as Emblica Officinalis, Gooseberry is a very sour fruit and is found mostly in India and tropical South East Asia. Gooseberries are one of the popular fruits all over the Great Britain. The taste might not appeal you at once, but do not dismiss it right away because the health benefits of Indian gooseberry are much more than you can imagine. You can take its juice which in my language is a magic potion because it helps your skin by keeping and looking it young . It also helps in growing hairs stronger. Its like your battery charger. Drinking its juice two times a day helps Asthamatic patients, even people suffering from Bronchitis.Try eating it raw, which I know is difficult , and then drink water over it, you will have a tasty sweet flavour in your mouth. I love that . Gooseberries are low in calories; 100 g of fresh berries hold just 44 calories. If you are suffering from Insomnia , then its juice is very helpful. It provides good relief from stress.
I remember it very nicely how my father use to make pickles, jams, juice and even the powder of it at home. We use that powder for our hairs and it is very good. It gives use black color and good strength. It stops hairfall also so i use it in my henna pack. My father use to make something what I don't know what to name but I suppose, a concentrated form of gooseberry juice with some ginger and some two three more items added to it. People suffering from bad throat use to come and my father use to give them that mixed with water to drink. He never use to sell that things and he is too much into making many herbal things good for human body internally as well as externally. But he was not into business. That was his liking and use to love that. I am missing him right now :( . He stays quite far from my place. So we cannot see each other that much except on our computers.
